The work, and what we can honestly show you
Three live sites we built, plus the one you are reading. All of it attributed properly, including the part where none of these clients is in Iowa yet.
A Salterra company · building websites since 2011

Des Moines Web Design Co is new, and these are Salterra’s builds — the company behind this one, building websites since 2011. None of them is in Iowa; they are in Colorado, Illinois and across several states. Des Moines work will appear here as it launches. We would rather show you real work with the attribution attached than a gallery of logos we had nothing to do with.
Three sites we built
A Salterra company, building websites since 2011. These are Salterra builds, shown with the attribution attached.
Littleton, Colorado · medical spa
A nurse-practitioner-owned medical spa. The site leads with the practitioner’s credential rather than with the treatments, which is the right call in a field where the buyer is choosing a person to inject them. It carries online booking, a before-and-after gallery, a dedicated health-and-safety page and a product store — and the credential badge sits above the fold rather than on an about page. This is the pattern our medical and dental pages describe.
Multi-state · divorce mediation
A divorce mediation practice operating across several states. The useful part for anyone reading our location pages is the Locations menu: this is a live, shipped example of the multi-location architecture we describe across fourteen city pages on this site — one real page per place, not a list of towns in a footer. It also runs a Learning Center and a free-consultation funnel, which is how a considered, emotionally difficult purchase actually converts.
Chicagoland, Illinois · party rental
A local service business at volume. Everything our trades pages argue for is on this site doing its job: click-to-call in the header, a quote request that is short enough to finish on a phone, explicit service-area coverage, and trust signals — state inspection, insurance, years in business, review volume — carried at the top rather than buried. This is the contractor, HVAC and roofing pattern.
The fourth example is the one you are reading
Every competitor shows finished screenshots. Almost nobody shows the reasoning, which is the part you actually need to judge whether somebody can do this. So here is how this site was built, and you can check every claim in it by clicking around.
Every page was modeled on what already ranks. Before a word was written we pulled the real search results for each target — who ranks, how long their pages are, what they cover, what questions Google surfaces alongside them — and built each page against that rather than against a template. When the research went stale, we re-ran it: one page’s competitive picture changed in the two days between research and build, and the page was rewritten to match.
Fourteen city pages, each genuinely different. The easy version of local SEO is one template with the town name swapped, and it does not work — Google can see it and so can a reader. Each city page here is built on something true about that place: Altoona serves four million visitors a year against twenty thousand residents; Windsor Heights is trading through a street reconstruction; Bondurant’s population has nearly doubled, so most customers are new arrivals. Read any two and you will see they are not the same page.
Twelve industry pages, written to the rules each trade carries. The insurance page is written to what an agency may and may not say in its advertising. The law firm page covers intake that will not create a conflict. The medical page treats accessibility as a real exposure rather than a checkbox — and this site is tested against WCAG 2.1 AA rather than merely claiming it.
The price is on the page. Everywhere, including the exclusions and who owns the site at the end. That was the hardest decision on the project and the one we are most confident about.
If you want the shortest version of what we sell: read the areas served pages, then the pricing page. That is the method, applied to ourselves, in public.
